The Homey Energy Dongle is a compact accessory for the Homey smart home ecosystem, designed to provide real-time monitoring of your home's electricity and gas consumption via a smart meter's P1 port. It seamlessly integrates with Homey Pro and Homey Cloud to enable detailed energy insights and home automation.

• Real-Time Monitoring: Provides instant insight into your home's energy consumption, production (from solar panels), and costs directly within the Homey app's "Energy" tab.
• P1 Port Compatibility: Plugs directly into the smart meter's RJ12 P1 port to read data telegrams. It is compatible with most meters that use the DSMR or ESMR standards.
• Built-in Splitter: A clever pass-through design allows you to connect a second device (like an EV charger for load balancing) to the same P1 port simultaneously.
• Connectivity: Features onboard Wi-Fi 6 (802.11b/g/n/ax) and Bluetooth 5 LE for a reliable wireless connection to your Homey system.
• Power Options: Newer smart meters (DSMR5+) can power the dongle directly via the P1 port. For older meters (DSMR2/4) or when using the splitter, external power is needed via its USB-C port (a USB-A to USB-C cable is included).
• Automation: The real-time energy data can be used to create smart automations via Homey Flow, allowing devices to react to energy events (e.g., charging an EV when electricity prices are low or solar production is high).
