The Ecowitt WS90 7-in-1 Weather Station (Powered by Shelly) is an all-in-one outdoor sensor array engineered for precise, real-time climate tracking and smart home integration.
Key Selling Features
7-in-1 Comprehensive Tracking: Captures seven essential environmental metrics in a single compact unit: wind speed/direction, rainfall, outdoor temperature, relative humidity, UV index, solar radiation (illuminance), and barometric pressure.
Solid-State Design (No Moving Parts): Utilizes ultrasonic wind monitoring and a haptic rain sensor rather than traditional mechanical cups or tipping buckets. This eliminates physical wear and tear, dramatically reducing maintenance requirements.
Dual Wireless Connectivity: Operates with Bluetooth and Zigbee simultaneously. This design offers hassle-free setup via the Shelly app alongside flexible compatibility for advanced smart home configurations.
Multi-Gateway Reporting: Capable of sending data packets (broadcasted roughly every 9 seconds) to multiple gateways at once. You can use Shelly devices for local Bluetooth monitoring and a Zigbee hub for broader platform integration.
Solar Powered with Battery Backup: Driven by a built-in solar panel with a capacitor. It includes space for two AA lithium backup batteries to ensure uninterrupted metrics through heavy storms or long winter nights.
Advanced Smart Home Automation: Feeds real-time weather analytics directly into smart systems. This allows users to auto-adjust HVAC units, activate shading sails based on UV indicators, or prompt smart irrigation controllers to skip watering cycles during rainy periods.
Weather Alerts & Diagnostics: Delivers real-time pressure trend updates and extreme weather warnings directly to the Shelly Smart Control app while supporting adjustable sensor offsets for localized precision.
