Sonoff Ring Smart Power Meter
The Sonoff POW Ring Smart Power Meter (also known as the POWCT) is a Wi-Fi-enabled energy monitor that uses a split-core current transformer (CT) clamp for non-invasive installation and real-time energy tracking. It is designed for installation in an electrical panel to monitor whole-home, room, or individual appliance consumption up to 100A.
Key Features:
- Non-invasive Installation: The device uses a split-core current transformer clamp, allowing installation without direct contact with live wires, which minimises the risk of electric shock.
- Real-time Monitoring: It tracks various parameters including power, current, voltage, and cumulative energy consumption (kWh) in real time, with data viewable in the eWeLink app.
- Historical Data: The meter automatically saves up to 6 months of historical electricity usage data, which can be exported to a file for detailed analysis.
- Safety and Reliability: The product has undergone rigorous safety testing, including lightning and surge tests, short circuit tests, and drop tests.
- Contactor Control: It features a 2A dry contact relay output for use with an external contactor, enabling safe remote switching of high-power loads (e.g., geysers, pool pumps).
- Customizable Thresholds: Users can set power, current, and voltage thresholds, and receive push notifications or have the device automatically power off the load when limits are exceeded.
- Smart Home Compatibility: It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control, and supports IFTTT and Home Assistant integration via the eWeLink app.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: The device connects via Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz) and includes an external antenna for enhanced range.
